Job Description
The Team
We are seeking a Supervisor, Utilities to join American Tower’s U.S. Tower division’s Network Operations team. The team monitors and maintains the Company’s U.S. assets, supporting frontline representation in the field as well as strategic programs. Day to day you will lead a team that ensures utilities across the Company's U.S. asset portfolio are in good standing and bills are processed in a timely manner. This will require you to partner cross-functionally to ensure sound processes are established and deliverables are met in a timely manner.

- Guide direct reports regarding cross-functional requests including billing escalations and inquiries.
- Support the development of annual and long-term budgets and ensure that spending is in line with both; regularly update the management team about active projects and current spending.
- Use data to build and manage reports and presentations for internal use.
- Manage work lists and open project tasks using available reporting tools in OAS; develop requirements for required dashboarding.
- Ensure inbound requests are received, triaged, and responded to in a timely manner.
- Evaluate current utility invoice payment processes and implement new processes to streamline activities.
- Provide vendor management for key external partners, including oversight of day-to-day activities and quarterly business reviews; ensure excellent customer service.
- Guide team members on utility-related issues.
- As a Supervisor, you are responsible for the recruitment, performance management, and career development of various Utility team roles. You’ll also be expected to cultivate a collaborative team dynamic that enables us to meet our business objectives.
- Maintain cross-functional and key relationships with internal teams and vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required.
- A minimum of 3 years of telecommunications, utility, or other related industry experience required.
- Utility industry experience preferred.
- Between 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
