Sun River Health is currently seeking a full-time remote Supervisor of Revenue Cycle to join our team.

The Supervisor will work directly with the payors to identify and escalate problems and issues as needed. They will be responsible for the identification and analysis billing issues, as well as participating in training programs for physicians and staff to increase knowledge and skills related to the revenue cycle. They will maintain a current knowledge of payor guidelines, fee schedules, contracts, quality incentives and system knowledge including ECW, Cognos and Claim Remedi. Other responsibilities include daily supervision and workflow for Billing Professionals including monthly audits and employee performance appraisals. The supervisor conducts or participates in employee disciplinary procedures with appropriate documentation according to Human Resource policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Supervisor of Revenue Cycle:

  • Supervise, train, and mentor staff respective to front end billing functions
  • Provide analytics and trends regarding front end billing functions
  • Ensures Claims are created daily and split appropriately daily and received by the payer
  • Ensures that scrubbing and submission of claims including primary, secondary, and wrap around is occurring daily and that denied claims are being reviewed, corrected, and resubmitted for payment.
  • Effectively communicates with the client any issues with credentialing, payer denials, and provider coding errors.
  • Handles assigned staff HR issues, paperwork, and complaints as initial point of contact.
  • Completes monthly Executive packet for client meetings. Includes all relevant and pertinent information as a summary for the past month of billing for the client.
  • Self Pay report is reviewed weekly
  • Prepares for and attends client meetings and conference calls.
  • Ensures other billing projects, 4028, Self Pay Scrubs are performed monthly and accurately for each client by monitoring staff working on assigned projects.
  • Identifies new ways of maximizing cash collections for their assigned client.
  • Runs Cognos reports independently to identify payment issues and staff performance gaps.
  • Reviews staff performance logs and identifies performance issues. Works with and trains staff to help improve performance.
  • Maintains a current knowledge of eCW, Cognos, and Claim Remedi and can assist in the training of new staff on all programs.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of five to eight years of experience in billing or revenue cycle management in either a physician practice or other similar setting.

High School Diploma/GED is the minimum education requirement. A Bachelor's Degree and or equivalent experience is preferred.

Certification in Coding (CPC) is required.

Possessing knowledge of New York State Department of Health programs or federally qualified health center operations considered advantageous.

Demonstrated experience working in a diverse employment setting working collaboratively with other employees of Sun River Health considered an advantage.
