Description
NorthPoint Health and Wellness Center is seeking a supervising psychologist to oversee our Children's Mental Health program. This high-level position involves coordination with multiple systems to ensure the delivery of quality mental health services to children and families in the North Minneapolis area. Qualified candidates will have experience with clinical supervision, psychological assessment, and best practice in clinical intervention with children, adolescents, and families.
Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at located at 1313 Penn Avenue North, Minneapolis, Minnesota and remote as job duties require. Typical work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

In this position, you will:
- Develop, implement, evaluate and maintain a system of diagnostic, treatment and consultative psychological services with emphasis on children's mental health.
- Ensure access and appropriate utilization of psychological assessment services for children and adolescents.
- Collaborate with other healthcare, social service, and educational professionals to deliver high quality mental health services to children, adolescents, and families.
- Maintain state, federal, and Hennepin County standards and requirements for the delivery of behavioral health services.
- Engage in quality improvement activities.
- Interview, hire, and provide administrative/clinical supervision to mental health providers.
- Facilitate weekly group consultation meetings.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments, engage in treatment planning, and provide individual and group psychotherapy services for children, adolescents, and families.
Need to have:
One of the following:
- Doctoral degree in psychology in an APA approved clinical program.
- Three years or more of post-doctoral experience in a medical or mental health setting with at least one year of administrative or supervisory experience and certification as a licensed psychologist.
Nice to have:
- Experience:
- Providing administrative and clinical supervision.
- Selecting, hiring, supervising, and evaluating mental health professionals.
- Engaging in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Applying for, securing, and managing grant funding.
- With school-based mental health programming.
- Ability to:
- Apply psychological knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of behavioral disorders, emotional problems, co-occurring disorders, and mental illness.
- Work effectively in a multi-disciplinary, integrated behavior health, community health environment with other health and social services professionals.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and supervisees.
- Establish and maintain standards and ethics of professionals' practice.
