JOB SUMMARY:
The Supervised Visitation program is responsible for providing court-ordered supervision between children who are in temporary foster care placement and their families. Supervised Visitation Workers arrange and supervise visits, observe interactions, and, when necessary, transport children to and from visits. Information from these visits is documented and reported to the Division of Sheboygan Child Protective Services. Visits are also conducted for biological parents who have been ordered to participate by Family Court.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Utilize knowledge of child development to conduct safe visits with family members, and encourage visits to be positive and interactive.
- Monitor child/family interaction during visitation.
- Redirect families and provide feedback, as needed.
- Safely transport individuals to and from visits.
- Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
LOCATION: Office is located in Sheboygan, WI. Position will work primarily out in the community monitoring and/or transporting client visits. Flexibility to work remote when visits are not scheduled, to complete documentation/visit notes. Mileage reimbursement is provided for work-related travel.
SCHEDULE: Hours are varied and may require evenings and/or weekends to accommodate the needs of clients. Supervised Workers have flexibility to manage their own schedules by coordinating directly with clients.

SALARY: $15.00 per hour
Requirements:- Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in social services, human services, criminal justice, early childhood education or child care is helpful but not required.
