The CALPIA (Optical) program is a (Optical Program) program designed to meet California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) needs statewide for institutional optical needs. The Optical program will train incarcerated individuals with the necessary knowledge and skill level needed to meet the highest possible standards. In return CALPIA trains a skilled workforce for the private sector in the optical industry to help reduce the potential for recidivism.
