BASIC FUNCTION:

To provide management oversight of the day to day field construction activities focusing on Safety, Quality Control, Schedule and Budget.

JOB DUTIES:

• Provide leadership at the project site on a daily basis, coordinating subcontractors, material deliveries, and inspections and providing overall planning for a successful project.
• Foster harmonious working relationships with subcontractors, building inspectors, design team members and anyone else working on the projects.
• Have thorough and complete knowledge of the project plans and specifications and to enforce that these plan and specifications are being adhered to by subcontractors.
• Have understanding of subcontractors contractual scope of work and to manage these contracts to minimize any risks to the budget.
• Enforce Drury Development’s Safety procedures in addition to OSHA requirements on a daily basis.
• Inspect work being completed on a daily basis and confirm that the work is being installed in a manner acceptable to Drury Development’s standards.
• Assist the Project Manager in developing the project schedule and then proactively manage the project schedule throughout the course of the project using 4 week look ahead schedules.
• Coordinate with local building authorities to ensure the project is meeting all permit requirements and that the building can achieve final certificate of occupancy as timely and as efficiently as possible.
• Conduct weekly foreman meetings with the subcontractors discussing project safety, quality control and schedule.
• Coordinate material procurement with DI Supply so that materials are on site in a timely and efficient manner.
• Coordinate with Drury Hotels throughout the hotel opening process so that the final product meets their approvals and ultimately our guest’s satisfaction.
• To coach, mentor and train any direct reports so that they can grow and become future leaders within Drury Development.
• To assure that the project has a DDC team member on site while any other subcontractors are performing work on site.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

• Reports to the Project Manager
• Supervises the Assistant Superintendent or Project Engineer
• Cooperates with management staff and other team members.
