The Summer Program On Site Manager will be responsible for supporting the Program Coordinator and Estria Foundation administration to manage all on site logistics for that site’s particular Mele Murals Program. The manager will also be responsible for day to day operations, this includes supporting the art teachers’ lesson plans, activities, and games that develop each studentʻs interest in strengthening a sense of belonging, connecting them to our island through Hawaiian art making practices and modern muralism.

Primary Responsibilities

The On Site Managers principle duties include but not limited to:

  • Manage all logistics for Mele Murals Programs for your particular site.
  • Fiscal responsibilities include managing the program budget, maintaining records of spending, collecting receipts, and turning all documents in on-time.
  • Maintain a program calendar and fulfill project goals.
  • Maintain program processes, documents, statistics and reports.
  • Manage and coordinate activities of program on site staff, contractors, and volunteers.
  • Communicate clearly, civilly, and in a timely manner with the overall program manager.
  • Go over program updates and support needs with the Program Coordinator weekly.
  • Participate in program meetings.
  • Purchase supplies and maintain inventory.
  • Contacts logged in google sheets
  • Participate in performance reviews when the program is completed.
  • Represent The Estria Foundation professionally in public.

Human Resources

  • Assist in the management of staff development and satisfaction
  • Assist in Interview and selection process for summer hires
  • Participates in performance reviews for Staff members
  • Oversee staff and contractors’ performance.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • An aloha team player who takes initiative, good work ethics, and positive attitude.
  • Follow instructions, organized, and works efficiently
  • Experience using iCloud software (Google Docs, Calendars, ).
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Attention to Detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Able to work independently once trained
  • Reliable, Pleasant/Friendly disposition

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong time management and prioritizes objectives
  • 1 or more years experience in running educational programs.
  • Understanding of mural and art projects a plus
  • Experience working with DOE system and standards
  • A love for public art
  • Understanding of Hawaiian history, culture, traditions and values.
