LOCATION: Austin, Tx.
ONSITE: This role requires the student to work from the LOCATION office throughout the duration of the Co-op/Intern term. First time Co-ops/Interns should work full-time and onsite.
HYBRID: This is a hybrid role (remote & in-office) requiring the student work from the LOCATION office approximately X days a week. First time Co-ops/Interns should work full-time and onsite/hybrid (not part time).

- Summer: Start Date May 22, 2023, or June 5th – August 11, 2023
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
You will be workign with Design Engineers on the Unified Memory Controller (UMC) (DRAM Controller) team and you will participate in the design of high performance integrated memory controllers used in diverse markets such as client APUs and server CPUs with support for DDR5/LPDDR5 DRAM technologies across different variants.
- You will be working on state-of-the-art DRAM controller technologies.
- You will be working on new SOC technologies such as EPYC and RYZEN.
- This position requires participation in micro-architecture development of features and RTL ownership.
- You will be working on pseudo code - FSDL (Firmware Sequence Descriptor Language) – which is used to mimic Firmware sequences for controller functions such as initialization and power management. This will provide overall exposure of the DRAM controller.
- You will be learning about the DRAM Controller design
- You will be working on Verilog RTL simulations of the DRAM Controller.
- In this term you will become familar with the methodologies and design flow of a SOC.

- Someone who desires to learn about the memory system of a computer.

- Someone who has the drive to understand computer architecture and specifically interest in RTL (Verilog) design.

- Student working on their Bachelor's or Masters in Computer architecture.
