Substitute Campus Monitor for 2022-23 Job at Ames Community School District
- Physically patrols school, parking lot and school grounds, ensuring a safe environment.
- Supervises students before and after school and during lunch and passing times.
- Supports students in following school rules and school behavior expectations.
- Intervenes to prevent and resolve conflict between students, reporting disturbances to administration.
- Works with other school staff to ensure sufficient level of supervision coverage in all areas of lunch room, hallways, and/or parking lot.
- Identifies and reports security or safety hazards.
- Completes incident reports, as needed.
- Assists law enforcement personnel upon request.
- Notifies police, fire department, or other authority of any situation requiring immediate attention.
- Gives directions or acts as a guide to authorized visitors.
- Administers first-aid, as needed.
- Onsite work required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be adaptable, collaborative, and an effective problem-solver. The following trainings are required prior to starting as a substitute teacher: Mandatory Reporter, Bloodborne Pathogens, Seclusion and Restraint: Chapter 103.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Compensation: $20.78 per hour.
