Job Description
The College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources and the Nevada Agriculture Experiment Station are seeking a ranch/farm hand at our Main Station Field Lab. The student must be a motivated self-starter with initiative, have the ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Wheel-line irrigation, animal husbandry, machinery operation, mending fences, haying and assisting with research projects.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must be students of the University of Nevada, Reno and must maintain a 2.0 GPA
Strong verbal and written communication skills; Demonstrated leadership, strong work ethic.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with experience in the agricultural sector are encouraged to apply.
Schedule
20 Scheduled Weekly Hours.
Weekend and Holiday Hours are required.
