Job Summary:
The position will be responsible for building strong working relationships with internal customers and successfully assist in implementing a supply chain strategy. This position will focus on execution and creating value and further the role of supply chain in business functions through sourcing, procurement and contracting activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages competitive bid process up to pre-determined annual spend authority level, purchase orders, pricing agreements, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company policies and procedures
  • Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities
  • Build a strong business relationship with internal customers and work closely to understand their business needs and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Create value for the organization by implementing programs that reduce cost, focus on efficiency and is not afraid to harness technology to further goals
  • Initiates and manages the Requests for Quotations and Proposals process. Receives responses, compiles, analyzes, ensures all documentation needs are met, provides draft recommendation for internal customers and drafts pricing agreements or contracts that are in place for the term of the agreement
  • Analysis should include quality, cost, ability to meet schedule, supplier safety and overall fit into Gulfport’s long-term strategy
  • Support the assessment and rationalization of the supply base
  • Support supplier risk assessments from a financial, safety, supply perspective, to drive value and improve supply chain performance. Be actively involved in monitoring supplier performance and relationship management
  • Work to support operational needs related to new deliveries, inventory, material transfers, material tracking, repairs etc.
  • Draft and route contracts, pricing agreements, Master Service Agreements for reviews, approvals, and signatures
  • Issues Purchase Orders
  • Work with Gulfport Energy’s contract management database to ensure all contract data is accurate and up to date
  • Work across groups like accounting, treasury, legal, risk to make the life cycle of Procure to Pay seamless

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Experience building strong working relationships with internal customers
  • Ability to be proactive and possess critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated record of execution on opportunities and ability to work in a fast- paced environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills required
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Supply Chain function strongly preferred
  • Up to 5 years of experience in Supply Chain or Business Analytics function
  • Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience working with Oil and Gas operations

Physical Demands:
Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary. Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. The ability to use a computer, tablet or smart phone for extended periods of time. Basic use of office equipment such as copier and fax machines. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, along with equipment necessary to design, draw, and execute plans.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time exempt position. Days and hours of work will vary due to workload and needs of the company.

Travel:
Some local and out of town travel is expected for this position. Primary operational areas include Oklahoma and Ohio
