Job Duties

About Us:

We strive to end suffering from mental illness, substance use disorders, and problem gambling for all Ohioans.

What You'll Do:

  • Obtains orders and bids for stock items for all Columbus Campus buildings
  • Maintains & prepares all pertinent paperwork using a PC
  • Performs physical and perpetual inventories utilizing a personal computer
  • Fills requisitions for needed supplies; Maintains clothing stock.
  • Maintains records of all property both received & released.
  • Acknowledging receipt of same & correspondence requesting pick-up of property/valuables that is not taken at time of release or demise
  • Operates state vehicle to pick-up/deliver property/orders/mail for the Timothy B. Moritz Forensic Unit and CSN (Community Support Network).

Qualifications
Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions & percentages; 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in inventory control. In addition, employees working in a drug central warehouse or storeroom must pass security screen.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
Knowledge of inventory control; agency storeroom or warehouse procedures*; addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages; OSHA &/or other applicable safety standards & practices*. Skill in operation of equipment (e.g., pharmaceutical repackaging, forklift)*. Ability to recognize unusual or threatening conditions (e.g., chemical storage) & take appropriate action; sort items into categories according to established methods; complete forms accurately; work alone on most tasks; lift up to 60 lbs. of stock or equipment repeatedly.

The final candidate selected for the position will be required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination in accordance with federal regulation Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Final Interim Rule 2021-23831 and 42 CFR 483.80 and 42 CFR 483.430(f), State of Ohio Administrative Policy HR-52, and OhioMHAS Policy HR-03.

Annual flu vaccines or an approved exemption are a requirement of continued employment
