JOB DESCRIPTION: STORAGE MANAGER / ASSISTANT MANAGER

REPORTS TO: REGIONAL PROPERTY MANAGER OR
AREA MANAGER

FLSA STATUS: Full Time /Part
Time/ Hourly / Non-Exempt

OVERVIEW:

• With direction from the Regional Property Manager or Area Manager,

the Storage Manager and Assistant Manager provide daily operations for a
designated self-storage facility.

• The Manager will have oversight and supervision of the Assistant

Manager’s duties. The Assistant
Manager will be responsible for the Manager’s duties in their absence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Rent storage units
• Collect rent payments
• Make collection calls for delinquent tenants
• Maximize occupancy
• Maximize revenue
• Provide customer service via phone, email and in person
• Assist customers with leasing
• Audit daily documents
• Conduct property inspections and request maintenance as needed
• Prepare daily deposits, reports, petty cash records
• Maintain a safe and clean building
• Provide input for annual budget
• Maintain tenant files
• Provide daily reports to property accountant

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior self-storage experience helpful but not required.
• GED or HS diploma.
• 2 years customer service experience.
• Able to work weekends as scheduled.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Computer skills.

Work Hours:

• 40 hours scheduled per week, with flexibility for on call pager and

emergency response.

DRIVING/TRAVELING REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
