What is the Role?
The Stockroom Shipper/Receiver associate is responsible for receiving incoming goods, shipping limited amounts of orders, and filling orders.
Functions:
- Unload trucks, unpack boxes, and verify quantities received against packing slip
- Print purchase orders and locate corresponding work orders
- Place merchandise and work orders in proper location for further processing
- Operates fork lift or hand truck to accomplish shipping/receiving duties
- Unpacks, inspects, and verifies incoming shipments against packing slips and notifies Manager if there are any discrepancies, shortages, or damaged items
- Enters garments receiving counts into the ABS System
- Maintains accurate inventory counts of flat good materials and hardware
- Sorts and places flat good and hardware items in the proper bins
- Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments of garments and flat goods
- Delivers large packages or boxes to appropriate departments
- Assembles and prepares outgoing orders for shipment using UPS (ground and freight)
- Maintains, organizes and cleans warehouse and workstation using the Pillars of 5S
- Assists with conducting Quarterly Inventories
- Assists in the production area as needed
