Staunton Post Acute is looking for a Full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join the Rehab team in Staunton, VA!

Responsibilities

• Administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
• Assure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
• Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers
• Monitor patient response to treatment intervention and encouragement.
• Documenting the progress, attitudes, and behavior of patients.
• Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations
• Obtaining, evaluating, and documenting needed patient data, such as medical history.
• Teaching patients and their families about a treatment program’s abilities and approaches.
• Attending meetings to discuss patient status and therapies.
• Attending staff training and ongoing education programs.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an occupational therapist assistant
• Great knowledge of federal, state, and governmental health standards
• Hands-on experience with rehabilitation programs
• Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy loads
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills
• A compassionate and resilient personality
• State license to work as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy preferred
