Stage Hand / Theatrical Show Technician Job at MagicSnow

We are looking for a Theatrical Show Technician to operate and maintain a large scale live snowfall show that operates every day November 25 - December 24 in Dallas! Pay is $200 per show call (5 hours).

The Theatrical Show Technician will assist with the installation and ongoing operation of a MagicSnow project. The Theatrical Show Technician is responsible for the daily upkeep and operation of the production. This is a temporary position with a potential for further opportunities on future shows.

The Theatrical Show Technician position is physically demanding and requires climbing ladders and carrying full 5 gallon buckets (50 lbs). Experienced theatrical technicians are preferred.

Essential Functions

- Operate show and maintain overall integrity of the show

- Troubleshoot technical issues and make repairs

- Attend to daily maintenance of snow equipment

- Complete daily show reporting

- Identify and report possible safety concerns

- Assist with installation and strike of theatrical equipment

MagicSnow is a Los Angeles based special effects and entertainment production company, known for creating large-scale snow effects and fully produced winter themed live events. MagicSnow creates bubble and snowfall effects, real snow, and special effects spectaculars for a variety of entertainment productions around the world.

- Maintain, clean, and organized equipment and work spaces

- Other tasks and responsibilities may be added at the Company’s discretion

Qualifications

- Must be reliable, organized, and punctual

- Must have strong communication skills

- Will need to carry ladders and five-gallon pails (50 lbs) of fluid

- Will utilize roof access ladders to access equipment located on rooftops. Will also hoist full five-gallon pails (50 lbs) to rooftops

- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions

- Reliable transportation, working cell phone, and passport

- Must be professional in dress, speech, and manners

COVID-19 considerations:
All technicians must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
