Northrop Grumman Aerospace Sector is seeking a motivated Staff
Engineer Systems Modeling Simulation to perform analysis activities in the System Analysis and Simulation organization. This individual will be responsible for supervising and leading a group of engineers to plan and execute the Modeling and Simulation, and Mission/ Risk Analysis efforts for autonomous systems, manned ISR and BMC2 platforms and future growth opportunities.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for allocating resources across the enterprise programs and ensuring the cost, schedule and technical performance meets each program’s statement of work. Ensure appropriate communications up and down the chain of command including providing management briefings as well as status reports and metrics on the health of the projects. Engage in frequent interaction with the customers and other IPTs Candidate will provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of system engineers/ analysts in the areas of Modeling and Simulation (M&S), Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A), and Mission/ Operational/ Impact Analysis Interact as a team player/ leader utilizing strong analytical skills. This position is located in Rancho Bernardo, CA or Melbourne, FL.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and 14 years of related engineering experience, or a Master's in STEM with 12 years of related experience, or a PhD in STEM and 9 years of related experience
- Minimum of one year of experience leading a team
- Direct experience in M&S/ Analysis methodologies and tools/standards (such as MATLAB or STK or AFSIM or DIS etc.) or M&S VV&A process
- Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher, and the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree plus of a minimum of 10 years of related experience/ Ph.D. Degree plus a minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Working knowledge in various aspects of Unmanned Aerial Systems (air vehicle, ground station, operations, sensor payloads, and/or communications ) and Manned ISR and BMC2 Platforms
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
- Excellent communication skills
This position reports to San Diego, CA, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Melbourne, FL, FL, USA.
