iMDS is seeking a Staff Accountant to support initiatives in Buffalo, NY. This role will work primarily remotely and will be expected to come into the office one day per month for a staff meeting.

The Staff Accountant will need knowledge of general ledger software, a thorough knowledge of desktop software packages, and an ability to work with department leaders. The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting information in a variety of areas. This includes tasks related to the month-end/quarter-end/year-end close, fixed assets, annual audit, and ad hoc projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
• 2 or more years of experience in general ledger closing and monthly financial reporting
• Experience communicating and partnering with various levels of leadership
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP functions, formulas, etc.)
• Must have the ability to work a regular and reliable schedule as provided by management

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of general ledger software (NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks)
