In this role, you will assist the accounting team with various accounting/financial duties including:

• Balance and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Identify and rectify inconsistencies in entries and financial reports
• Compile financial reports in a timely manner
• Participate in a year-end review of financials
• Analyze and determine financial trends within the company
• Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Assist in year-end close processes, audits, and the annual budget process
• Prepare and file state sales tax, use tax, and personal property tax (multi-state)
• Assist with federal, state, and local tax returns
• Support accounting staff with ad hoc duties

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Business, or equivalent work experience in Accounting
• 1-2 years’ experience in an Accounting role
• Experience with Sage software is strongly desired
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties
• Analytical and critical thinking skills
• High integrity and professional demeanor
• Punctual and reliable
