The assistant is responsible for various duties in the accounting, budget and reimbursement functions. Skills needed for this position are a detailed knowledge of hospital accounting and financial policies, knowledge of accounting concepts, computer systems, and sound judgment.

Qualifications

A degree from a recognized college or university with either a major in accounting or in business administration with a minor in accounting. • Familiarity with medical terminology is required. • Advanced computer literacy is required. • Experience with Windows, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics and databases is preferred. • A minimum of six month’s on-the job training by qualified personnel is required before full assumption of duties.
