Staff Accountant Job at Seymour Staffing Professionals, Inc.
This position is primarily responsible for ensuring that financial records and reports are maintained in accordance with Company policies, GAAP standards, and within internal and external audit guidelines at our corporate office in Raleigh, NC.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Perform full cycle Accounts Payable for corporate headquarters and other entities as needed.
· Investigate and resolve any vendor account discrepancies as needed.
· Process payroll efficiently and accurately as needed.
· Manage online expense reporting through Concur.
· Record intercompany cross-charges and provide / obtain supporting documents as required.
· Ensure that intercompany account balances are reconciled during month end close.
· Record journal entries and prepare account analyses for balance sheet accounts as assigned.
· Prepare schedules and reports for internal and external audits as requested.
· Assist with budgeting and financial modeling as requested.
· Prepare and submit 1099 MISC and PATR reporting at year end.
· Perform general clerical duties including filing and records management.
· Actively participate in cross-functional team projects as requested.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting and one to two years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Exceptional attention to detail is required.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Experience in SAP is preferred.
