Job Overview:*
Oversees the accounts’ payable (AP) function and general accounting duties such as expenses, billing, cash transactions, reconciliations, etc. Assists real estate and power & infrastructure departments as needed on various accounting projects. Handles job responsibilities in a timely and professional manner.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Utilizes AP workflow website to process AP invoices for weekly disbursements.
- Prepares support coversheets and documentation for weekly wires and integrates them into the accounts payable workflow website.
- Processes cash transactions weekly.
- Prepares reconciliations of all bank accounts and researches stale dated items.
- Prepares monthly corporate balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Prepares journal entries for required adjustments.
- Supports the recording and reporting on the liquid investment portfolio.
- Maintains property tax schedule and year-end true-up.
- Manages intercompany billing to select customers.
- Maintains internal controls processes in accordance with company policies.
- Aids with year-end audit requests.
- Assists with the integration and review of real estate and energy investments and verifies the accuracy of the financial reporting.
- Evaluate and investigate variance in investment reporting.
- Helps with managing the Federal and State tax reporting requirements.
- Uses multiple accounting systems to report consolidated financials.
