Job title: Staff Accountant

·Reporting to the North America Controller-FTS, the incumbent will also work closely with FTS functional departments.

·The position will be based out of the Suffield, CT USA facility

Responsibilities but not limited to:

· Perform month-end close activities and variance analysis in a timely and accurate manner.

· Prepare and ensure timely and accurate submissions of corporate reporting requirements, including forecasts, financial and tax packages.

· Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness.

· Monitor and identify opportunities for internal control process improvements and compliance with corporate policies and accounting principles.

· Provide information and interact with internal and external auditors as requested.

· Serve as liaison with Finance staff to resolve issues in the Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections, Accounts Payable and Payroll functions.

· Perform fixed asset accounting duties which include ensuring the fixed asset system is maintained and reconciled to the general ledger; monitor construction in progress account for timely placing of assets into service.

· Assist in maintaining databases. Add general accounts and create reports as requested.

· Ensure intercompany activity is properly recorded in the general ledger and facilitate timely billing and settlement of activity as required; reconcile intercompany accounts monthly.

· Audit and process employees expense reports

· Prepare sales and use tax returns as needed.

· Assist with special projects as needed.

Required:

· BA/BS in Accounting/Finance

· 1-5 years experience, preferably in a manufacturing accounting environment

· Strong analytical skills

· Ability to work in multiple systems including solid ability in Microsoft Excel

· Must be detail-oriented, an active learner and a proactive self-starter

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
