Job Title: Accounting Analyst

SUMMARY:
The Analyst Accounting maintains the integrity of formulations and standard costs in SAP and related systems. Provides accurate and detailed cost estimates in support of marketing initiatives as well and contribution to cost savings projects budget planning and financial analysis for weekly performance estimates and reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains existing cost accounting system. Ensure accuracy of cost of production including meat ingredient packaging labor and overhead components. Analyzes and reports cost of production through weekly and monthly manufacturing variance to standards. Develops and maintains strong working knowledge of production processes which includes regular observation and interaction on the production floor. Supports lean manufacturing activities to drive cost saving initiatives. Works with support departments to properly record disposal of obsolete materials. Maintains and develops business relationships with maintenance operations engineering and materials management. Provides credible accurate thorough and depth of financial analysis in support of plant operations. Supports other finance functionality including asset inventory control, spending audit, and payroll processing. Key member of plant management team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree required preferably in accounting, finance, or data analytics.
- 3+ years manufacturing experience preferred, especially food manufacturing.
- Independent judgement with analytical skills.
- Problem solving resourcefulness demonstration of business acumen creative thinking skills required.
- Strong knowledge of Excel.
- Experience with SAP preferred.
- Demonstrated multi-tasking and project management skills.
