Position Overview:
As a Senior Talent Management Specialist on the Novelis Global Talent, Learning and Organizational Effectiveness (OE) team, you will be instrumental in executing various talent management initiatives in support of Novelis’ strategic HR and talent objectives. You will leverage your expertise to support and enhance talent processes, support our technical, functional and leadership talent, and develop career pathing.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Responsibilities
  • Annual Global Talent Review: Provide support for the Global Talent review meetings on talent analytics, succession planning, KPI metrics, and talent insights to inform company-wide investments and initiatives around talent development
  • Talent Management process design: Constantly enhance global talent management processes in response to changing business needs and priorities as well as external benchmarking of new industry developments
  • Execute on identified parent company (Aditya Birla Group or ABG) talent management programs for Novelis, such as Potential Assessment, 360 assessment, and Development Assessment Centers (DAC)
  • ABG Functional Talent Councils: Support non-technical functions with talent analytics, succession planning, and talent insights to highlight Novelis talents to other ABG business leaders
  • Support Functional pipeline building, including functional competency frameworks and career path tools to enable functional leaders in their talent development efforts with employees and employee ownership of their career growth
  • Create COE (center of excellence) collateral around talent management initiatives to enable change management and training of HR business partners and regional talent managers supporting initiatives execution
  • Provide direct support to Regional HR partners on talent management process, analytics and other local needs as requested
  • Partner with the Global Learning and OE teams within the Global Talent COE team for global capability development including by not limited to assessments, surveys, analytics, virtual learning events, mentoring program delivery, and creation of support tools (SharePoint, MS Teams)

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in General Business, IO Psychology or Related field; Master’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Talent Management or Organizational Effectiveness preferred
  • Strong analytical skills - proficiency with Excel required
  • Project management skills with the ability to handle and deliver multiple projects with aggressive implementation deadlines
  • Ability to handle complexity, prioritize work and deliver on time to meet internal customers’ expectations
  • Ability to adapt responses and projects to changing situations
  • Basic understanding of Talent Management processes and fundamental principles.
  • Familiarity with design thinking methodology and strong sense of customer centricity
  • Strong communication skills to effectively relate across all levels in the organization
  • Teamwork orientation and ability to seamlessly collaborate with core Talent team and internal stakeholders
  • Motivated to learn and broaden experiences through managing a variety of initiatives within the talent management functional areas
