Position Summary
Role and Responsibilities
Job description: Perform semiconductor engineering research, design, development, and/or testing for firm products and/or devices for use in the electronic communication industry. Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic circuits and/or components. Research, design, develop, analyze and/or test electronics system requirements, capacity, cost, and/or customer needs to determine project feasibility. Ensure product and/or device quality and/or manufacturing readiness by identifying and/or implementing improvements within the design, development, release, and/or manufacturing of the product or device. Act independently to determine methods and procedures or special assignments.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, and three years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, and five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
With either combination of education and experience, position requires three years of experience with the following technologies and/or skills:
- ASIC/SoC design/development at sub-system or chip level;
- Verilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL;
- Writing assertions/checkers in Verilog/System Verilog/VHDL;
- Test/verification plan creation;
- Synopsis VCS or equivalent verification tool;
- Code coverage analysis/closure;
- Writing Perl scripts to automate feature testing and debugging; and
- Monitoring and debugging test failures.
Compensation for this role will vary among specific regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market, actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparisons to other employees in the role. However, compensation in the following regions is expected to be as follows:
Colorado: Compensation is expected to be between $174,557-$270,563
NYC: Compensation is expected to be between $174,557-$270,563
Washington State: Compensation is expected to be between $197,041- $305,414
California: Compensation is expected to be between $197,041- $305,414
