Sr Salesforce Business Analyst

Reports to: Director, Software Engineering (CRM)


Purpose:
The Sr Salesforce Business Analyst is a full-time role that involves gathering and understanding requirements, process mapping, implementing business processes in Salesforce, creating reports, and analyzing data. The Sr Salesforce Business Analyst role requires proven business analyst experience and an understanding of Salesforce capabilities. The Sr Salesforce Business Analyst partners with internal departments to identify business challenges and subsequently design and implement solutions. The ideal candidate is able to display critical thinking skills; specifically, be objective, display reason, interpret information, make inferences from data, and apply solid judgment in decision making. The Sr Salesforce Business Analyst will be a senior member on the team of Salesforce Administrators, Salesforce Business Analysts, and Salesforce Developers who design and implement solutions that support business goals.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform discovery on requests submitted or communicated from business stakeholders and from the discovery make recommendations of potential Salesforce solutions
    • Attend stakeholder meetings both for planned, ad-hoc, and emergency work
  • Translate aligned requirements and solution recommendations into technical requirements, partnering with CRM team members to implement the agreed-upon solution
  • Collaborate with the CRM team to identify gaps in processes using data analysis, provide recommendations for solutions
  • Develop As-Is / To-Be process mapping as part of communicating changes to the system
  • Collaborate with team on providing everyday end-user support
  • Comply with and ensure compliance of security/IT General Control policies in relation to Salesforce per standard operations within a publicly-traded organization

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years experience writing/translating business requirements
  • Practiced in changing priorities and self-managing workload
  • Firm understanding of process improvement (Identifying/measuring opportunities for improvement, planning changes, implementing changes, controlling for sustained results)
  • Experienced in both planned and ad-hoc problem solving with decisive results to demonstrate (ex. X project that resulted in Y hours saved)
  • Demonstrable stakeholder management skills (Communication, expectation setting, etc.)
  • Experienced participating in work that has an enterprise-wide impact (big-picture thinker)


Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Agile and Kanban experience a plus
  • Atlassian suite and LucidChart or experience with similar tools is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning interface
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on Salesforce experience
  • Familiarity with triggers, classes, custom settings, and flow
  • Advanced Salesforce Admin Skills (Per ADM-211)
  • Understanding of more advanced functionality and limits existent in Salesforce Sales Cloud from a consultant's perspective (Per CRT-251)
