Sr. QA Analyst – Job Description

The Sr. Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst develops and executes exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.

Sr. QA Analyst responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. Reviews system requirements and tracks quality assurance metrics (e.g., defect densities and open defect counts.) Monitors all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards. Working collaboratively within on-shore and off-shore resources to complete all testing before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Validate the integrity of Requirements gathering and documentation
  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Work with business users to identify process and system improvements
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts
  • Develop and validate testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
  • Peer Review and Develop test plans to ensure coverage of requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing
  • Execute system testing to ensure quality of systems
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., developers and business analysts) to identify system requirements
  • Monitor debugging process results
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies and mentor teams on application
  • Be an example for people in exhibiting Medical Solutions core values every day
  • Foster and enhances company culture

Job Qualifications:

  • Experience applying QA principles and best practices in projects to increase the capabilities in teams.
  • SQA will be required to develop test plans and monitoring metrics to ensure appropriate risk mitigation and release readiness.
  • Monitors all stages of the STLC (Software Test Life Cycle) to identify and resolve gaps to meet quality standards.
  • Mentor and conduct peer reviews to ensure the completion all test phases before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets
  • Experience in leading and directing test teams
  • Proven work experience in software development
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and excellent, proven analytical skills

  • 5+ Years Experience in quality assurance role.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Solid knowledge of SQL query and API scripting
  • Microsoft Office & Visio
  • Azure DevOps Test Management skills
  • Trained on software testing skills with multiple certifications
  • SharePoint/Office 365 knowledge

Preferences:

  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
