Position Summary

The University of New Mexico's Project ECHO has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Program Manager to join the NM Programs team.

Project ECHO has been experiencing exponential growth in New Mexico Programs due to legislative funding and a growing demand to provide quality programming to support New Mexican providers, educators, and incarcerated people. To meet expansion goals, we are working to create operational synergies focused on leadership and resources.

As a successful Sr. Program Manager, you will play an integral role in leading teams and programs with a people-centered approach. The Sr. Program Manager will be responsible for:

  • Designing and establishing the NM Programs in-person and virtual hiring and onboarding initiatives, ensuring cultural alignment and appropriate adjustment to team-specific and overall, ECHO network organizational expectations and values
  • Developing and implementing a robust virtual training strategy that can scale to support rapid growth of New Mexico Program partner launches
  • Developing and managing standard operating procedures and other best practices documentation for teams across NM Programs.
  • Leading and coordinating the roll-out of ECHO network iECHO 2.0 initiative for unit and ensuring robust training, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Leading development and implementation of key metrics to monitor progress of team specific partner trainings and warm hand-offs to ensure new programs have successful and sustainable launches.
  • Leading unit projects to generate evaluations and progress reports monitoring processes and procedures implemented to strengthen collaboration with Communications and Marketing Team, IT Team, JOA Team, REDI Team, Admin Team, ECHO Digital Team.
  • Leading delivery of specific systems training for external partners regarding to iECHO, RedCap, Mailchimp, Zoom, and PERL.
  • Representing the unit and organization to various institutional divisions as well as externally to professional and government constituencies, as needed.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; two of which are management level experience.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree; 3-5 years’ experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Experience working in fast-paced complex environment, with strong emphasis on building relationships of trust, networking, and collaboration
  • Working proficiency with REDCap, Mailchimp, Zoom, Outlook, Excel, Smartsheet, and Word
  • 3-5 years’ experience leading and managing with a people-centered approach and mindset
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize projects, and problem-solve
  • Excellence verbal, oral, and written communication skills
