The Senior Production Engineer will manage a broad scope of oil and gas production engineering assignments ranging from intermediate to complex. This position is responsible for monitoring and optimizing various oil and gas production activities to maximize production from a totally safe, economic, and efficient standpoint while ensuring compliance with all governmental and contractual requirements. Core responsibilities for this role will entail a blend of completions and production, following the complete life cycle of wells from birth to death.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate must live in or within 60 miles of Greeley, CO
  • Must have at least 5+ years petroleum engineering experinence
  • Must be knowledgable on well production in DJ Basin

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Interface with Foreman daily and Leads at least weekly to identify and resolve any issues they’re facing
  • Lead production optimization efforts of all wells; identify and drive opportunities to increase production, enhance well EUR, reduce operating expenses and apply innovative technologies.
  • Identify well servicing opportunities for maintenance and artificial lift improvements.
  • Artificial lift selection, design, and troubleshooting: primarily gas lift, plunger lift and rod lift systems.
  • Develop choke management strategies for new development.
  • Monitor, record, and report new well performance.
  • Scope offset wells to HZ development in a timely manner to ensure all operated wells are appropriately mitigated (COA’s, 5k isolation, downhole configurations)
  • Mentor Junior Engineers in all facets above
  • Become a technical advisor of at least one artificial lift type (Gas Lift, Plunger Lift, Rod Pump, etc)

Other Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering support to field staff as they troubleshoot problematic wells.
  • Perform economic analysis and write project AFE’s.
  • Ensure State and Federal compliance of all area wells.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the field operations team.
  • Provide support or lead other special projects as required
  • Participate in Health, Safety, and Environmental program and insure that EHS&G standards and policies are being followed.
  • Reduce total emissions to help achieve net-zero status.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently in a team environment.
  • Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with all Environment, Safety & Regulatory requirements
  • Assure work performed adheres to all SOP's
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $100.00 - $120.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
