Due to growth, Emhart Glass Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the team in Horseheads, NY.

Responsibilities:
- This position works in a team-oriented environment conducting mechanical design and development of new or existing products or concepts
- Designing mechanisms, power transmissions, guarding, fabrications, weldments, jigs and fixtures
- Designing mechanical linkages and structures
- Conducting machinery tests and evaluations
- Conducting analysis of vibration and mechanical failure
- Creating engineering documentation, including test plans, instructions, reports and assembly instructions, as well as equipment checklists and preliminary operation manuals
- Creating, revising, and releasing engineering drawings
- Providing technical assistance to suppliers, customers, and internal departments such as purchasing, service, sales and marketing
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required. A Master’s degree would be preferred
- At least 5 to 7 years of Mechanical Engineering experience
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills as well as the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects
