About the role:
Xperi is seeking a Senior Manager, SEC Reporting to join our corporate accounting team in San Jose or Calabasas on a hybrid remote schedule.
In this high-visibility role, you will be involved in the Company’s external financial reporting process and interact with both internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Director of SEC Reporting, you will be responsible for preparing the Company’s SEC financial reporting as well as performing technical accounting research. Additional responsibilities include the support of cross functional teams on required compliance reporting, earnings press release, special projects, SOX, and supporting internal and external audits.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support the Company’s external financial reporting process, including preparation of the Quarterly and Annual reports on Form 10-Q/K.
- Prepare and/or coordinate detailed schedules to support disclosures included in financial statements and SEC Filings.
- Manage financial statement (10-Q/K) tie-out processes.
- Responsible for review and completion of the disclosure checklists to ensure disclosure requirements are met.
- Prepare quarterly stock-based compensation expense journal entries and the EPS/weighted shares calculation.
- Research accounting topics/reporting issues and preparation of technical accounting memos.
- Collaborate with other members of finance in providing accounting guidance on complex and unusual transactions.
- Work with Legal, HR and Investor Relations on the preparation of Proxy statement and various projects such as quarterly earnings press release and filing of the related Form 8-K.
- Support the annual audit and quarterly review activities with external auditors.
- Support testings by internal and external auditors on internal controls.
- Ad hoc projects and analysis as required by management.
Education, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field
- 7+ years of relevant experience (a mix of public accounting and industry experience preferred)
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX requirements and controls
- Experience in preparing and consolidating accounting or other schedules related to the SEC disclosure
- Strong knowledge of stock-based compensation accounting (ASC 718)
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong organization, excellent attention to detail and dedication to accurate and high-quality work
- Self-motivated and proactive; able to function in a dynamic environment
- CPA strongly preferred
- ActiveDisclosure or Workiva experience a plus

The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is $129,255 - $164,800 plus bonus, equity, and benefits, and can vary if outside of this location. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
