Sr. Manager, Planning and Development Job at Mission Veterinary Partners
Mission Veterinary Partners (MVP) is adding a Sr. Manager, Planning and Development to be an important member of our growing Capital Investments Team!
Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of Capital Investments, the Senior Manager of Planning and Development will be an integral part of the operation and hospital development strategy for the company. The Sr. Manager of Planning and development will be responsible for oversight of all MVP capital projects to include all current and future facility construction and renovation, multi-site capital planning, and any long-term facility-based project that promotes growth and operational efficiencies. Partnering closely with hospitals, field leaders and internal stakeholders this this candidate will work collaboratively across the organization driving continuous improvement, strong returns and a superior hospital experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project and program management, be passionate about collaboration and customer service as well as demonstrate the ability to identify and resolve problems in a quick, efficient, and scalable manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.
Manage and evaluate facility project needs across the organization, making recommendations to improve facilities.- Collaborate with stakeholders to document project scope, deliverables, goals, risks, blockers, success measures, and estimated resources needed for project requests.
- Develop relationships with preferred vendors to standardize purchasing and reduce cost of common FF&E used for capital projects.
- Responsible for all managing task completion for all capital projects
- Monitor success metrics for the purpose of creating best practices that can be shared across the team and/or creating meaningful action plans to meet expectations.
- Maintain routine meetings with project teams and MVP vested personnel of each new construction and building renovation project.
- Manage deadlines and deliverables of all capital projects.
- Establish and maintain budgets for all capital projects
- Develop and manage capital project reporting to be shared with MVP executive teams.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and construction project deliverables with all applicable vendors.
- Establish multi-year budget for capital planning to replace facility assets
- Drives continuous improvement activities by identifying, recommending, and implementing changes to improve productivity and cost.
- Partner closely with operations and medical leaders to develop clear and concise communication around process and expectations for all capital investments with hospital teams and field leaders.
- Assists in establishing an annual budget for building maintenance for the MVP portfolio.
- Establish and manage the preventative maintenance program for 300+ facilities
- Develop a multi-year capital planning budget for facility related assets
- Create and manage a multi-site safety program for the MVP portfolio.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required)
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a similar field
- Minimum of 5 years’ practical project management, facility management or comparable role
- Experience with contracting, procurement, and proposal processes
- Demonstrated track record of successful fiscal and operating management; demonstrated financial expertise within a clinic business environment
- Demonstrated experience in planning and managing at strategic and operational levels
- Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint required
- Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to successfully perform the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position (English)
- Must be able to exchange accurate information throughout all levels of the organization and/or with all clients and team members
