POSITION TITLE: Senior Harvest Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: Senior Harvest Manager will be responsible for overseeing harvest activities at our various farm locations. The Senior Harvest Manager will be responsible for all field operations for harvest, including management of field team. Tasteful Selections currently harvests over 20,000 acres of baby potatoes, operating in 6 geographic locations including California, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, and Oregon

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Primary responsibility will center on strategic management of the Harvest team
• Senior Harvest Manager must be results focused/ driven.
• Manage with high integrity and professionalism
• Maintain a positive team culture focused on safety, accountability, and performance
• Identify high potential team members and maximize their value to the organization
• Coordinate with the agronomy, farm, and plant teams to develop harvest plans
• Develop and implement KPI’s in line with the larger strategic goals of the farming group
• Develop the annual budget and provide continuous financial oversight for the harvest group
• Request and coordinate key logistics activities
• Ensure accurate records are maintained – harvest operations, field logs, food safety documents, and equipment maintenance records
• Identify ways to drive efficiencies throughout the entire harvest process. Focus on continuous improvement!

Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4+ years’ experience managing and/or leading others
• Previous experience in production agriculture

• Proven work ethic, leadership skills, and the ability to self-direct and execute responsibilities with minimal supervision
• Ability to acquire and hold a valid US driver’s license and successfully pass vehicle insurance verification

• Candidates must be eligible for unrestricted work in the U.S. without company sponsorship to be considered for this position
• Ability to comprehend, read, write, and communicate proficiently in English and interact with all levels of the organization

• 2+ years supervising farm operations or heavy equipment operation activities
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively train and coach team members
• A valid US driver’s license and the ability to pass vehicle insurance verification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Bachelor’s in agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Sciences, or other related field
• Experience and/or working knowledge of row crops
• Highly desired Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Proficiency in use of a computer including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint programs
