Summary:

The Sr. Basware Finance Configuration Analyst serves as a global subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures to implement and support Basware. This is a global role to provide support to all company locations to simplify and optimize systems, process, and procedures. The selected candidate will act as a key liaison between technology and the finance business team, to ensure quality outputs are delivered in a timely fashion.

Role/Responsibilities

- Position objectives include supporting end-users with minimal supervision on financial applications (Basware). This position will be involved in addressing small to complex day-to-day user issues/requests and require hands-on research that includes but not limited to information/data gathering to formulate a comprehensive solution. This position will also participate as a member of the team on project-related tasks while supporting urgent user issues / requests.

• Support Basware VIM application, including troubleshooting, configuration, API and exception handling.

• Coordinate Global communication for Basware Updates, Enhancements, Testing, and Releases.

• Primary liaison with Basware vendor, support portal, ticketing and escalations

• Effectively communicate and translate technical concepts to the user community. Participate in projects as required.

• Act as liaison with business for troubleshooting: investigate, analyses, and solve software problems

• Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system Solutions; identify, interpret, validate, and document business requirements. Document functional designs, test cases and results.

• Facilitate workshops to collect business requirements. Map requirements, processes and objectives; develops necessary product modifications to satisfy business requirements.

• Perform hands-on SAP FICO configuration in support of Basware and/or production support.

• Look for alternative approaches to Basware or SAP custom development in collaboration with Basware and SAP.

• Determine what functionality is required in terms of design, structure and configuration, in line with internal guidelines and procedures, in order to translate the IT requirements into an optimum IT solution. Keep solution as close to standard SAP as possible.

• Scope and estimate business requirements. Work with business process leads and users to gather requirements for reports and application extensions

• Resolve Service Request tickets in accordance with agreed-upon SLAs.

• Support the deployment of production applications and provide post-production support related to custom system enhancements and integration points.

• Bachelor’s Degree desired

Technical Requirements:

• Basware integration knowledge / experience required
• Experience with Basware VIM – bolt on, Invoice Capture and API
• 5+ years’ experience in VIM integration (preferred)
• 15+ years’ experience in IT supporting business systems required
• Experience and configuration knowledge in Basware VIM – bolt on, Invoice Capture and API
• 5+ years of hands-on SAP ECC configuration experience of FI and CO (GL, AP, AR, AA, CA, IP)

Experience Requirements:

• Demonstrated SAP Functional knowledge
• Experience working with Basware Vendor Invoice Management
• Proven track record in designing, building, and developing SAP FICO configuration
• Knowledge of PO and Non-Po Invoice Processing
• Solid understanding of the financial close process (both month-end and year-end)
• A technical understanding of SAP ABAP and SAP API
• Experience working with OneSource Tax Engine (preferred)
• Excellent written and oral communications skills; ability to lead discussions, present ideas to audiences of all sizes, and interact with all levels of the organization
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability and flexibility to quickly learn new applications and software
• Ability to work with teams or independently
• Experienced in leading / project managing specific pieces of work, people and/or deliverables
• Solid organization, time management, and project estimating skills
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, both as an individual contributor and as a team member
