POSITION PROFILE
This is a technical and analytical position reporting to the Director, IT Compliance Services with responsibility for IT Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC). This position leads IT Control assessments; controls coordination, testing and monitoring; tracking of findings and follow up, compliance audits, within the desired governance, risk management and compliance frameworks to ensure that information assets are adequately protected, compliant with regulatory, statutory, and contractual obligations. The position must be familiar with the following ISO27001, HITRUST, SOC2 and PCI.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure the organization is meeting regulatory requirements.
- Lead compliance audits and assessments to ensure that the organization is compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor changes in regulations and ensure that the organization is compliant with any new or updated requirements.
- Identify potential IT risks and make recommendations for mitigating them.
- Provide training and education to staff on IT compliance policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of compliance activities and prepare reports for senior management, regulatory agencies, and auditors.
- Act as a subject matter expert on IT compliance-related matters.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement security measures and disaster recovery plans.
- Create documentation that can help respond to customer security questionnaires.
- Research and stay up-to-date on applicable laws, regulations, or industry standards/best practices.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
- Certification in relevant IT compliance and/or risk management (e.g. CGRC, CGEIT, GSNA)
- 5+ years of experience in the Information Technology field.
- 3+ years of experience leading security compliance audits and initiatives
- Experience administering security technologies and/or programs.
- Experience leveraging a GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) tool to support IT risk management and compliance initiatives.
