SUMMARY

Ninth Avenue Foods is seeking a Senior Accountant responsible for inventory control, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will assist in creating and implementing policies and procedures to identify, document, and resolve issues within their areas of responsibility and continually improve accounting processes and procedures. The Senior Accountant will ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Enters daily deposits, intercompany transfers, ACH debits/credits

· Maintains a list of customer deductions

· Reviews and submits deduction claims through customer online portals and or email

· Assists with aging and various AR tasks

· Runs open work orders to compare variance in std/consumption. Research variances.

· Ensures materials are received promptly and accurately against PO’s and variances are thoroughly investigated

· Ensures all AP expense is coded to the correct GL

· Maintains Fixed Asset Records.

· Oversees month end inventory count and ensure related entries occur on schedule and without error

· Assists with month-end close

· Assists with budget process.

· Provides detailed sales/cogs reporting weekly/monthly with PW/PM/PY comparison

· Creates a variety of ad hoc reports and work on special projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

· Minimum of 2 years prior work experience working as a Senior Accountant or Cost Accountant

· Strong Microsoft Office skills; must be strong in Excel

· Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· A self-starter that can perform with minimal direction/intervention

· Positive, enthusiastic, motivated team player that can perform under deadline

· Proven relationship builder with unsurpassed interpersonal skills

· Able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM or 7AM to 4PM. Schedule should be flexible to accommodate business objectives.
