The Senior Accountant oversees various accounting processes. Responsibilities include reviewing, investigating, and performing root cause analysis in areas where process improvements can be made. Additionally, the Senior Accountant reviews the status quo, and makes recommendations to establish and achieve GAAP compliance and reporting clarity. The Senior Accountant also assists in the preparation of fiscal period financial statements.

What You’ll do as a Senior Accountant:

• Assists in recording business activity for each fiscal period
• Reviews account reconciliations and ensure proper accounting treatment of business activities
• Reviews, files, reports, and audits sales and use tax in all jurisdictions
• Audits internal accounting procedures and reporting
• Assists in the preparation and review of financial statements for each fiscal period
• Supervises staff accountants and clerks
• Assists in supporting the annual audit
• Extracts appropriate data from various business systems
• Presents and proposes of alternative course of action for process improvement
• Develops creative reporting solutions for various levels of use
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

You’ll Be a Great Fit if you Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
• Four or more years’ experience in GAAP reporting and analysis
• Audit experience or CPA a plus
• Critical business analysis skills that help improve efficiency in business processes
• Data mining (navigation, extraction, analysis, and presentation)
• Demonstrated leadership experience with immediate and cross-functional teams
• EXCEL user with proven experience using advanced formulas
• High level of personal integrity
• Persistent in moving projects to completion
• Ability to collaborate with team members
• Comfortable with test & learn methodology
