Senior SQL Developer

Location: White Plains, NY

Amalgamated Life is looking for an enthusiastic Senior SQL Developer who has a passion for analyzing data, working with software and learning new technologies. The developer will be working directly with experience leads, developers, and business resources to deliver quality solutions. You will be part of a team that will be migrating the business into the cloud. You will be involved with designing, implementing and working in various systems. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days on-site and 2 days remote work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Development of high quality database solutions

· Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements

· Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements

· Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables

· Create SQL queries that integrate with other applications.

· Create scripts, functions, triggers and procedures that support application development

Education and/or Experience:

· Bachelor degree in information systems, technology, or related computer science.

Knowledge and skills:

· Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Server T-SQL development experience

· Experience working with complex queries and data models

· Experience designing, developing and testing programs (packages, procedures, functions, triggers)

· Experience with cloud migration and architecture a plus

· Knowledge of Claims, Insurance or Pension is a plus

· Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent experience

· Good analytical, writing and verbal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $76,827.74 - $107,001.72 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• White Plains, NY 10601: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Informatica: 1 year (Preferred)
• SQL: 1 year (Preferred)
• Data warehouse: 1 year (Preferred)
