We are building our Clinical Operations department with a motivated NextGen Administrator. The NextGen Administrator develops, implements, administers, and maintains policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of Meriplex and their clients database. This technical administrator will also implement data models, database designs, data access and table maintenance codes. The administrator resolves database performance and capacity issues, and replication and other distributed data issues.
Secondarily, the administrator will develop, maintain, and support new reports using existing data sources and models or creating entirely new data models from scratch, write SQL code to query databases to retrieve data for analysis, design new reports from scratch and modify existing templates to meet clients' needs.
In addition, the administrator will write, code, test, and analyze custom NextGen Ambulatory EHR templates. This includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying custom templates throughout the production life cycle. The Administrator will also analyze and amend template errors in a timely and accurate fashion and provide status reports where required. This is a full-time position reporting to our Vice President, Clinical Operations.
As part of our national Clinical Operations team, this role will collaborate with customers, internal teams, and vendors to develop solutions that meet the unique challenges of our customers. The ability to successfully connect technology with customer’s business objectives is critical to this role’s long-term success and the chosen candidate will play a key role in developing solutions for our existing customers. • Act as the clients trusted business consultant and subject matter expert: We have each other’s back.
• Create, or support creation of, require reports in response to business user needs.
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Exercise independent judgment to determine the appropriate course of action to be taken based on the analysis performed and all workable solutions.
• Assists in the development of full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
• Document all analysis and actions.
• Assess and develop long-term strategic goals for production databases in conjunction with data owners and department managers.
• Work is of limited to moderate scope typically of moderately complex projects and assignments and contributing to the completion of team milestones.
• Work in a collaborative environment on developing custom NextGen Ambulatory EHR templates and documents.
• Assist consultants, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and development of new templates and documents.
• Assist in the preparation and documentation of custom template requirements and specifications.
• Analyze and independently identify complex custom template requirements.
• Create, maintain and support reports using SSIS/SSRS skills.
• Consistently write, translate, and code custom template according to specifications.

• Monitor healthcare industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to continually stay abreast with the best-in-class offerings and create solutions to new and evolving customer driven challenges – after all, we are growing.
• Perform IT Risk planning and management strategies within client environments to help reduce overall risk and increase ROI of the present technologies._ Remember, we are here to provide excellent customer service._
• Collaborate with Meriplex Operations to ensure IT resources are efficiently and effectively being utilized. Set your team up for success. Nobody likes to be left in the dark.
• Draft and submit estimates and recommend subsequent changes where necessary.

Let’s work together to succeed together! A minimum 4-5 years of experience a database administrator with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
Some experience in the following areas will serve you greatly in this role:

• Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting database servers.
• Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with database processing flowcharting techniques.
• Experience building and maintaining NextGen Ambulatory EHR templates and documents
• Related experience with template development.
• Working technical knowledge of NextGen Ambulatory EHR Thorough understanding of platforms such as MS SQL Server Experience building custom SQL Server stored procedures Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrated attention to detail Ability to work in collaborative environment
• Ability to work on an individual basis or small team

Work Schedule/Travel - Standard Meriplex business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00. Post COVID there is an expectation that this role will be heavily customer interfacing. Currently domestic travel only. Candidates should be comfortable in a traveling environment up to 10%.

• Experience with other Electronic Heath Record and Practice Management Systems such as; Greenway, Athena etc.
• NCP Certifications on NextGen Ambulatory EHR.

*Compensation and Benefits:*

• $75,000 - $ 120,000 annually
