Spotter/Scale Attendant Job at Waste Connections
Waste Connections is looking for a safety-conscious Spotter/Scale Attendant to join our Transfer Station team in Opa Locka, FL! This is a full-time, long-term position with a reputable company. The spotter’s main priority is to give clear verbal and non-verbal directions to truck drivers entering the Transfer Station. This is to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow. You will also assist in the Scale House when needed.
Pays $16-$18/hr. Working 45-55 hrs. a week! Opportunities to move up as well!
Responsibilities Include:
Spotting Trucks
Cleaning Equipment
Picking up litter
General site cleanup
Driving employees to their work stations
Performing other assigned duties at the site
Requirements:
At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor type position.
The ability to continually lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout an 8-10 hr. shift.
Experience operating equipment is a plus
Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift
Mechanical ability a plus.
