Cycle Spin Instructor
Thurs-Friday 9:15am-10:15am
Summary: You will provide group fitness instruction for programs and related activities by engaging members in YMCA programs and activities of interest! You will share the mission and vision of the YMCA by putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
Responsibilities
- Instruct Cycle Spin classes per week at Countryside YMCA | Lebanon
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with members to encourage continued class attendance
- Demonstrate and educate participants on proper form and alternative moves/modifications
- Lead class participants in a positive manner based on the skill levels of each individual
- Ability to teach participants of all ages and abilities
- Provide class music that adheres to YMCA standards
- Secure appropriate training and certifications when necessary and maintain current level of knowledge
- Maintain equipment in studios, notifying supervisor of any broken or damaged equipment
- Adhere to studio and equipment cleaning protocols following each class
- Solve all member problems and concerns in a positive and time efficient manner.
- Keep accurate attendance records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Current Spin certification (Spin Power is preferred)
- Current CPR certification
Rate of pay: $11.00+ per hour, may vary based upon experience. All part-time staff working a minimum of 16 hours per quarter will receive a complimentary individual membership to the Countryside YMCA!
