The Digital Media team is responsible for reaching and engaging audiences across a portfolio of digital products for brands like ABC and ABC News- From show clips and highlights, to video and audio streaming, and some of the world’s most trusted news, analysis, commentary, our industry-leading portfolio of digital products reaches an average of more than 100 million users each month.
Job Summary:
The Specialist, Digital Media Marketing will help manage campaign and media performance across internal channels, like promotional inventory, and external partner channels like Roku, Apple, and others to drive audience growth and engagement. The associate in this role will support campaign planning, manage creative workflow, and reporting and optimization of campaigns. Additionally, this role will play a part in defining new product launches and growth strategies for new products like ABC News Live, the leading 24/7 streaming news and live event channel and ABC News’ presence on Hulu.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
Job Brief:
- Assist in managing owned promotional inventory planning, creative strategy, trafficking & reporting across ABC, Freeform, FX, Nat GeoTV, FiveThirtyEight.com, ABCNews.com, GoodMorningAmerica.com, and ABC News Live ensuring broader Digital Media goals are being met.
- Alongside the department’s Marketing Manager, assist in ABC News Originals on Hulu and News on Hulu brand and content campaign strategy, creative development, and execution.
- Work with the broader Digital Media teams to track campaign performances, extracting campaign takeaways, driving SVOD subscriptions.
- Assist in Third Party Digital Partner management (Roku, Hulu, SamsungTV+, Xumo etc.); managing campaign deadlines, assisting in promotional strategy, daily communication, key art development and trafficking across CTV, SVOD, mobile and web platforms.
- Ensure Digital Media brand standards are upheld by auditing Third-Party Digital Distribution platforms, owned platforms and products, ensuring all artwork, logos, promos etc. are up to date.
- Partner with Marketing Manager to develop paid strategy and manage agency partner performance for campaigns driving audiences to Digital Media’s products, like ABC and ABC News
- Partner with Analytics to analyze content consumption trends, identify areas of optimization, and monitor retention for Digital Media properties, including ABC, ABC News, and ABC News Live (24/7 streaming service), across CTV platforms, SVOD, social, mobile, email and web.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Overseeing all digital campaign production, deliverables, timelines, and topline communication. Ensuring priority messaging is tracked and runs correctly on owned and Third-Party Platforms.
- Partnership: Our team is looking for a strong communicator to partner closely with internal teams to assist in identifying and unlock Synergy opportunities, driving subscriptions and extending brand messaging. This role requires this individual to keep the rest of the marketing team abreast to emerging content, tentpole events & emerging technology. Assist in managing digital partner relationships, ensuring timelines and deliverables are being met.
- Data/Analytics: Partner closely internal analytics teams to assist in providing monthly reporting on marketing campaigns. Expected to provide reporting on ROS banners for all marketing campaigns, CRM data and ABC News Originals on Hulu subscription and owned data.
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
- 3+ years of performance, paid, or platform marketing experience
- BA degree in Marketing or related field
- Proficiency with paid and organic social
- Understanding of media planning, campaign management, and measurement
- Detail oriented and excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an understanding of the political climate.
- Some CTV experience is helpful
- Marketing analytics/basic understanding of digital KPIs.
- Ability to multitask and project manage in a high-volume department
- Possess great organizational skills and an excellent track record for following through on projects and creating new opportunities
- Eager learner who can apply learnings to future projects seamlessly
- Willingness to work occasional evenings
