Solar Senior Permit Coordinator is responsible for assembling building permit submittal packages, as well as coordinating the efficient submittal, approval, and retrieval from local jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

  • Solar Senior Permit Coordinator should review, prepare, submit, and receive permit packages in accordance with jurisdictional requirements.
  • Coordinate payment and reimbursement of permit fees according to company guidelines.
  • Identify and communicate any critical path items and potential delays in the permitting process.
  • Communicate with local jurisdictions to verify and track all permitting requirements including design specifications, permit lead times, points of contact and any special requirements prior to the launch of a new project.
  • Utilize software systems to record progress of various tasks.
  • Perform all due diligence associated with achieving necessary permitting for solar power/battery installations.
  • Work with the design team to ensure that the business is compliant with permit drawing requirements within the jurisdiction.
  • Proactively track and document any changes to projects in the permit phase and report to the team as needed.
  • Collaborate with inspectors to ensure the efficient and effortless passing of all inspections.
  • Prepare project documentation for construction teams.
  • Provide customer-facing communications, including status updates.

Qualifications:

  • Solar Senior Permit Coordinator should have a high School diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working in the Solar Industry
  • 1-2 years of Solar permit coordination experience working with multiple municipalities
  • Proficient with MS Excel, MS Word, etc.
  • Previous experience in utility scale permitting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong data entry and analytical skills
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
  • Self-motivated, able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong time management, project coordination and planning skills with an ability to prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
