Electrotek Power Systems is a growing company in Lancaster County, PA that has the immediate need of experienced or eager to learn Solar PV Installers.

Pay Rate – Starting at $19/hour for entry level candidates willing to work on a roof

For candidates with construction background, pay is based on experience

Shift: 1st shift Monday-Friday, 7 am start

Job Summary:

Solar PV Installers assemble, install, or maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment and schematics. May include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules. May perform minor electrical work such as current checks. They also install photovoltaic (PV) systems in accordance with codes and standards, using drawings, schematics, and instructions.

Other tasks include:

• Assemble solar modules, panels, or support structures, as specified.

• Apply weather sealing to array, building, or support mechanisms.

• Determine appropriate sizes, ratings, and locations for all system overcurrent devices, disconnect devices, grounding equipment, and surge suppression equipment.

• Install module array interconnect wiring, implementing measures to disable arrays during installation.

• Identify methods for laying out, orienting, and mounting modules or arrays to ensure efficient installation, electrical configuration, or system maintenance.

• Identify electrical, environmental, and safety hazards associated with photovoltaic (PV) installations.

Requirements:

• Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation

• Seeking candidates with construction field experience (A good fit would be an experienced roofer, electrician, or handyman)

• Must be willing to travel out of town on occasion

• Typically, we meet at our location in Lititz/Ephrata, Pa and travel in company vehicles to both local and out of town jobs.

• Company will pay per diem hotel/food expenses

• Must be okay with overnight travel

• Must be okay with heights!!!

• Willing to train the right candidate that is seeking to learn a trade

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for duration of shift, squat, bend, twist, kneel.
