SOFTWARE DEVELOPER 1 (SPARC), Plasma Science and Fusion Center (PFSC), to develop data acquisition and real-time control software for the SPARC experiment. MIT is collaborating with Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) on the development of the real-time control system and the data acquisition/management system for the upcoming SPARC experiment. The data system will use the locally-developed open source MDSplus software system is widely used in the community (https://github.com/MDSplus/mdsplus). The control system will be implemented using MARTe2, MATLAB/Simulink, and MDSplus.


Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; at least three years’ relevant experience; willingness to innovate, learn, identify needs, and propose solutions; and strong compiled and interpreted language skills. PREFERRED: master’s degree and experience with a subset of real-time Linux, PTP timing, network programming, and FPGA development. Job #21829
