ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital is a 114-bed community hospital located in Ahoskie. Serving four nearby counties, the 15-bed emergency department sees approximately 18,000 patients per year. ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital provides a wide range of health services, including medical, surgical and radiation oncology. In addition, the Wound Healing and Pain Management clinics serve as referral centers for neighboring ECU Health hospitals and providers.
Ahoskie, NC is ideally located an hour from the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area and two hours from Raleigh, Richmond, Williamsburg, and the beautiful Outer Banks of NC. Ahoskie offers a moderate cost of living, a strong sense of community, and a temperate climate and location to support a variety of year round outdoor activities, such as boating, kayaking, hunting, fishing, hiking, and golf.
Position Summary
The Social Worker (MSW) provides safe, expedient, and cost-effective therapeutic social work services. As a Social Worker, you will work in an inpatient psychiatric setting, providing comprehensive social work services to patients at Northside and Stepping Stones.
Minimum Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or higher
Preferred:
- Licensed by the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Provisionally licensed (LCSW-P) with clear plan for full licensure or licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Professionals
Other Information
- This is an PRN, as needed position
- Weekends
- Option to pick up shifts during the week and work holidays, if desired
