Annual Salary:

  • Level III H20C - $41,456.13/Per year + State Employee Benefits

Minimum Qualifications

Level III:

  • Completion of the curriculum requirements for a master’s degree in social work and 3 years of experience in professional social work OR;
  • completion of the curriculum requirements for a master’s degree in behavioral science and 4 years of experience in professional social work OR;
  • completion of the curriculum requirements for a baccalaureate degree with a major in social work, aging, juvenile services, juvenile justice, child development or family relations and child development, rehabilitation counseling and 4 years of experience in professional social work OR;
  • completion of the curriculum requirements for a baccalaureate degree and 5 years of experience in professional social work OR;
  • an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting 1 additional year of experience in professional social work for each year of the baccalaureate degree.

Preference may be given to a candidate who is certified in HIV 101, HIV PrEP & Pep, and Mental Health & HIV through (AETC)

Job Responsibilities

  • This Social Worker III provides comprehensive HIV case management to individuals & families living with HIV, with a targeted outreach emphasis on at-risk and underserved populations throughout Oklahoma.
  • Facilitates & provides access to federal & privately funded prescription assistance programs, specialized home health programs, COBRA benefits, & medical insurance; Initiates and facilitates expedited Medicaid Waiver services for clients with urgent medical needs.
  • Provide comprehensive services plan development with the client in conjunction with APS, CWS, and AFS agency staff.
  • Refer & schedule client appointments for medical services; Serve as a gatekeeper for client access to emergency community funds and pantries.
  • Collaborate with other agencies through monthly inter agency staff meetings to identify, develop, and maintain client services. Identify and build partnerships with AIDS Service Organizations.
  • Ability to work on a diverse team and directly with people from diverse backgrounds specifically racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and disabilities.
