Job description: This is not a remote job. You must be local to help develop on-site content and attend local events. Our fitness and wellness company in downtown Santa Cruz is looking to add a vital member to our growing marketing team. We are looking for a Social Media and Events Coordinator with multi-tasking skills and a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest tech advances. You are an organized, creative, and detail-oriented individual who wants to make a difference in people’s lives. This person will be responsible for all day-to-day operations related to social media, events, and outreach including but not limited to:
Duties:
- Plan out a content grid to have approved by the marketing director
- Brainstorm marketing ideas and brand development
- Build connections with current clients, other businesses, target audience, and the community
- Grow web and social presence
- Analyze engagement and responses and be able to build reports based on the data
- Researching and registering for events months in advance in Santa Cruz County
- Do daily engagement with other social media accounts
- Managing event equipment:
- Restocking event supplies
- Being able to load/unload tents, tables, and storage bins weighing up to 50 lbs into the company van.
- Attend, sell, and supervise tents at events while tracking inventory
- Schedule practitioners for events.
- Attend networking mixers.
- Data entry
- Taking photos and videos at events to use for social media
- Write brief summary articles about events you have attended
- Follow up with client lead calls, B2B outreach, and outside sales outreach
- Receive/review donation requests and create donation packets for local and non-profit events in Santa Cruz County
- Generate original graphic content with designers
- Collaborate with marketing and wellness teams
Requirements:
- Sales and/or events experience
- Proficient in YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and Google
- Proven experience in increasing social presence and engagement
- Copy editing skills
- Content and brand development
- Willingness to do projects outside of the job scope when needed
- Graphic design basics
- Google Drive
- A good attitude
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and set up an event tent
