JOB SUMMARY:

The Driver is responsible for a set schedule of daily resident pickups and drop-offs. Responsible for ensuring a safe and friendly ride.

SCHEDULE: AS NEEDED **Must be able to drive at night.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Arrive on time for resident pick-up and drop off.
  • Ensure safety of residents and inspect the van at the beginning and end of shift.
  • Obey all traffic laws and posted speed limits even if arriving late to destination.
  • Know routes and alternate routes by studying maps. Prepare most efficient bus routes based on multiple resident pick-up and drop-off needs ensuring timely arrival at work and Sober Living Community locations.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or road hazards to supervisor.
  • Report any vehicle mechanical problems to supervisor.
  • Understand Sober Living concepts and how to work with residents to include participating in the Sober Living modality.
  • Work closely with Program Manager to uphold the core principles of Cenikor’s culture and contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality on all resident and foundation matters and refer questionable issues to your supervisor.
  • Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations in regards to resident confidentiality of past and present treatment enrollment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and consistent with the nonexempt functions as defined in this job description.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

  • Must pass national background check

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of vehicle operations and safety practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally with residents.
  • Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures, to perform duties in a professional manner to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures;
  • Ability to detect vehicle or road problems and report information to appropriate personnel.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook for email.
  • Ability to consistently uphold the Core Principles of Cenikor’s Culture with all team members:

Education:

  • Must complete driver’s safety course

Experience:

  • One year van driving experience preferred
  • Must be 23 years of age to drive Cenikor Vehicles

LICENSURE REQUIRED:

  • Valid Driver’s License
